After several months of waiting in anticipation for a reply to our application to send funds direct to Messianic congregations in Israel, the Reserve Bank has given David and Jonathan Foundation permission to transfer up to R 500 000 to Israel over the next 12 months.
This places us in a position to make regular payments to the seven congregations with whom we have built a relationship. Because most expenses occur on a monthly basis, the congregations face bills for rental and salaries and can only be effective in their outreach if they have the financial resource. We are now able to send monies to congregations on a more regular basis which will certainly help with the month to month running of their congregations.
For this reason, we urge our readers to consider approving a monthly debit order, if this is within your means. Even small amounts add up and make a difference.
