Feedback from Messianic Congregations |

Several churches have responded positively to partnering with Messianic fellowships in Israel. Of these, four are in the process of finalising the matter with the eldership and establishing contact. This is an exciting development and we ask that you continue to pray into this matter in order that lasting relationships will be build up between churches in South Africa and fellowships in Israel.
We welcome further enquiries and opportunities to speak to leadership or congregations that would like to partner with believers in Israel.
Enquiries are starting to come from other areas in South Africa, including Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal. Our prayer is that many more churches will join us and reach out to the believers in Israel.
We praise God that He is blessing the ministry so that we can, in turn, be a blessing to the believers in the land. We received several snippets of information from congregations in Israel. We can briefly give you a few pointers:
“The Summer holidays are being devoted to taking things easy in the heat. (Those of you who have been in Israel in July/August know the heat and the humidity can be unbearable). Camps have been arranged for the youth both in Israel and on excursions to neighboring countries. We will hear later how the young people enjoyed it and I sure they will come back refreshed and on fire for Yeshua.”
One Pastor reports concerning an outreach to Russian speaking Jews in Israel and how over 750 DVD's about redemption were ordered. These persons now have to be followed up in the next phase of the outreach. Several gospel books are being translated into Russian as there is very little material available for new believers.
How the wheel turns. A Pastor who receives prayer and support from South Africa flew to Turkey and ended sitting next to a SA woman who had converted to Judaism. He was able to speak to her for two hours and they are following up on the conversation after her return from holiday.
This same pastor flew on the USA where he ended up ministering to some of the over 100 000 Muslim Somalian refugees that are in Minneapolis at this time. “It seems that if we do not go to these people with the gospel, the Lord brings them to us!” Another congregation is helping protect the unborn babies of unwed mothers. The abortion rate in Israel is amazingly high and this Messianic fellowship is overwhelmed by the numbers and the need in this area. Volunteers with specialist knowledge in this field would be welcomed. Please contact our D&J office in this regard.
Prayer Requests: There are people in need of healing. Transport is another area of need (mini-vans breaking etc.) and buildings in need of repair and maintenance. The spiritual and material needs remain great and we call on you to hear from the Lord and help in prayer, visits, partnering and finance wherever you can. Praise God that we can still help our brothers and sisters in Israel at this time.
