"Saul sought him (David) everyday...Jonathan went to David in Horesh and strengthened his hand in God".

From the same family came blessing and curse - Jonathan wanted to strengthen, encourage and build up, Saul wanted to destroy. Jonathan had recognised the call and anointing of God on David and had entered into a covenant with him so his commitment was sure. "Fear not, for the hand of aul my father shall not find you; you shall be king over Israel" 1 Sam 23:17. Unfortunately Jonathan never saw the fulfillment of his prophetic encouragement.

In the modern day 'David versus Goliath' scenario that Israel finds herself in, blessings and curses are forthcoming from most nations! While kings and rulers wheel and deal with the enemies of Israel, whose one desire is to destroy Israel (see Ps 83:4), millions of Bible believing Christians are blessing Israel. They recognise the miraculous regathering as divinely appointed in accordance with prophetic scriptures, in preparation for the son of David, King Jesus to return and take up His throne in Jerusalem. Apostle Peter states that Messiah will remain in heaven "until the time for establishing all that God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets of old. Acts 3:21. The prophet Hosea states that the time of restoration is now!
"After 2 days He will revive us, on the 3rd day He will raise us up that we may live before Him" Hosea 6:2. Scripture states both in Ps 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8 that "with the Lord 1 day is as a 1000 years and 1000 years is as 1 day". In this 3rd day, the 21st century, many prophecies are being and will be ulfilled!

In the past 61 years over 4 million Jewish people have returned to their ancient homeland. "But now says the Lord, who created you O Jacob, He formed you O Israel...Fear not, for I am with you. I will bring your offspring from the east... west... north... south... Bring forth the people who are blind, yet have eyes, who are deaf yet have ears" Isa 43:1.5-6.8. In this restoration of unprecedented proportions can be heard the call of God to the world - "Behold, I will lift my hand to the gentiles and raise my signal to the peoples, and they shall bring your sons in their arms and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders" Isa 49:22 Today Christians are involved in every facet of this call.

Apostle Paul in his letter to Roman believers spells out the debt owed by gentile believers "For if the gentiles have been made partakers in their (Jewish) spiritual blessings, their duty is also to be of service to them in material blessings". Rom 15:27.

God has mandated the church to show mercy to Israel "... that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy." Rom 11:31. The one-new-man of Eph 2:15 is God's design for the bride of Messiah. For Christians not to discern and stand with Israel in her prophetic destiny, even though disagreeing with some of her policies, is to repudiate the prophetic scriptures.
The battle for Israel is the Lord's, He alone conducts her history, initiating or permitting under His control, all things.

The purpose of David & Jonathan Foundation is to stand with Israel and point her to her God. In particular to be knit together in love and commitment, prayer and support with the household of faith thereby strengthening their hands in the Lord.
