"Because I love Zion, because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I will not cease to pray for her or to cry out to God on her behalf until she shines forth in His righteousness and is Glorious in His salvation." Isaiah 62:1.
For Christian Zionists, praying for the peace of Jerusalem is part of our daily prayer life, because passivity and silence can have no place in Gods plans and purposes in the restoration of the City of the Great King, as Jesus called her.
As if to underscore His urgency in this regard the Lord in v7 calls on us to continually remind Him by giving Him no rest until He fulfils His Word regarding Jerusalem.
Sadly, in spite of the current ongoing fulfilment of many prophecies in Israel today, many in the church have a blind spot regarding God's everlasting love
(Jeremiah 31:3-4, 36 ) for His people and His land.
